A Common Sense Man

I am not a doctor. I am a toxic mold exposure patient. Many of the health symptoms which I experienced are common to many diseases and ailments. Others are specific to toxic mold exposures. I have no formal medical training that regulates me to the established and/or evolving categories of medical establishment boxes. I am a freelancer, using my personal experiences with the very disabling symptoms of biotoxic mold exposures to collate and interpret the research into a practical understanding of how the biotoxic effects of mold fungi engineer the aging and degeneration of human body.

I went through an initial two years of serious health problems which were incorrectly blamed on a head/neck injury suffered on the job. Chiropractic adjustments to correct skeletal alignments brought significant relief to the symptoms related directly to hitting my head. But, CT scans, many diagnostic tests, a neuropsychological examination, tranquilizers, antidepressants, and painkillers brought limited and temporary relief to the rest of my health problems. A number of times during that initial two years of health problems I asked my doctors if they could be related to the increasing mold problem we were experiencing in our apartment. Each time the answer was " I don't believe so". In the end all of the health problems, and even the hitting of my head on the job, were related to the biotoxic effects of the toxic mold growing in our apartment.

An antibiotic prescribed for an infection in my jaw and cheek sent me on a downward spiral of my health which scared me. I wasn't so sure my previously healthy body was going to make it past the coming year or so at this rate. The concentrated dose of the mold fungi in the antibiotic being added to the chemistry of my body, which already had abnormally high imbalance of mold fungi, eliminated their bacterial competitors, and gave them free reign to wreak havoc throughout my body.

At this point I took the responsibility for my health away from my doctors and set out to find my own answers. It is my body. I was experiencing the disabling effects. Their 15 minute per visit allotments were not solving my health problems. With the impairments to my memory, retention and cognitive thinking resulting in fog brain I struggled to learn how to use the Internet to search for the answers. I found several doctors at the forefront of the mold exposure pioneers. Dr. Johannings of the New York Fungal Research Group and Dr. Vincent Marinkovich in Redwood City, California. I made an appointment with Dr. Marinkovich and sent by medical files ahead. Blood was drawn and sent to his lab for testing of the levels of antibodies fighting off various fungi microbes.

I flew to California for my clinical exam and was diagnosed with fungal hypersensitivity, rhinitis, and mild asthma. An antifungal nose spray of nizoral and cromolyn sodium started dramatically reducing my health symptoms in less than a week. As very amazed, angry, appreciative, and had a lot of questions I was impassioned to get answered. I wanted to know why I gone through that hell for over two years, to have a simple antifungal nose spray dramatically reverse the downward spiral of my health. Thus catapulted was my desire and passion to find the answers to all of my questions. And with each answer came another set of questions, interconnecting my research into many arenas of the human body, mind and soul

The doctors and researchers with their formal medical training approach there understanding from that formal training angle. I approach my understanding from having personally experienced and walked many miles in the shoes of a toxic mold exposure patient. As a common sense man it had to make sense to me, and coordinate with what I had personally experienced. It had to explain with accuracy all the information my body had worked so hard to communicate to me about the condition within. It had to make sense to me, the one who has experienced it.

I know now why I have had such a variety of occupations and experiences throughout my life. For each one gave me information and experiences that would help me on my quest for truth and understanding. Together they gave me a unique combination of experiences and knowledge which enabled me to have a complexly simple understanding of the many ways which mold fungi engineer the aging and degeneration of the human body. It is a unique perspective from the body, mind and soul of a toxic mold exposure patient who has experienced it's devastating effects, learned how to beat it and get my good health back, and with extra benefits.

My experiences around circulatory systems in the construction industry helped me understand the circulatory system of the human biological machine we call the human body. I feel it is easier to understand the human body if we view it as a biological machine it needs certain fuels and fluids at certain levels to function properly. Maintenance must be performed regularly to prevent breakdowns. When one part or system develops a problem it needs to be fixed, before it causes a domino action of cause and effects which leads to gradual or sudden breakdown of its operating systems.

When microbes of mold fungi enter the systems of the human biological machine are immune defense system combines these microbe antigens with antibodies to form immune complexes, to serve as search and destroy teams against the mold fungi antigens continuing to infiltrate the human body in various ways. That is their primary mission. The more mold fungi entering the human biological machine the more immune complexes formed and circulating throughout the blood circulatory system of our body.

But, as in all wars, whether it be traditional or biological, there is peripheral damage from defensive measures. The combines sizes of the antigens/antibody immune complexes is of a size which gets stuck and blocks smaller blood capillaries, noodle like passageways for blood to get through on its journey to supply tissues and organs with it's life-giving elements, including oxygen.

The human biological machine is designed to have blood flow at a certain rate in order to maintain proper generative functioning of all cells, tissues, organs and operating systems. One proper flow rates have blood, with it's life-giving elements, is to me is below design specs there will be an effect from that cause. If it is not corrected the effects will domino leading to a complexity of cause and effects very difficult to unravel in separate. Then various drugs are used to diminish the communication of symptoms leading the underlying causation more firmly entrenched. I want to eliminate the effects, symptoms, effectively you must accurately identify the underlying causation and correct it. An oversimplification? No, it is not.

The medical establishment too often is lost in this ocean of unpronounceable words that describes certain combinations of various communicative symptoms that manifest themselves in various parts of the human body, leaving the general public feeling incompetent of understanding the complexities of the human body. I aspire to turn that simply complex perception into a complexly simple perception that the common man or woman can understand.
